SUCCESSFUL TAIKO PERFORMANCE AT MUSEUM

BK Taiko had a successful, well received performance at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History for their Annual Asian Pacific Islander celebration. With BK Taiko’s recent loss of a performer they have had to adapt their performance pieces to a smaller group size. The new arrangement debuted well at the Museum.

ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL ARTICLE

Some exciting news, recently some Bushido Kenkyukai Karate students, Taiko Students, some Parents of Taiko students, and our head Instructor were interviewed by the Albuquerque Journal. This article is great news for the dojo and we are excited to see the outcome.

The article is expected to appear in the Sunday Albuquerque Journal June 30th in the Living section. We will post links to the article on our webpage and Facebook pages as soon as it appears. Additionally we will have a copy posted in the Dojo.

Announcing Endowment Fund for young students

The Bushido Kenkyukai Endowment Fund is for students (youth) who need a little extra help to participate in extra dojo activities or training. The BK endowment fills that gap and pays for up to 90% of the cost depending on the applicants need.

Bushido Kenkyukai Japanese Martial & Cultural Arts Center from time to time offers workshops with professional Taiko players, Martial Artist, Language Instructors, Cultural demonstrators, and field trips to special cultural events/lectures. Taiko, Karate, and other cultural activities are a great opportunity for youth to learn, grow and become more well-rounded and better citizens in our community.

The Bushido Kenkyukai Endowment Fund is for students (youth) who need a little extra help to participate in extra dojo activities or training. With the tough economy sometimes students just need a little financial help to make ends meet so they can participate in these activities. The BK endowment fills that gap and pays for up to 90% of the cost depending on the applicants need.
